Okumbo Streetwear from Berlin

Okumbo is the clothing project founded in memory of Ben Alfero, beloved son, brother, cousin and friend. Ben died in March of 2018 in a tragic accident, age 14. He left behind many fond memories - especially his sense of humor and his sense of justice are remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him. His light shines on.

The late Ben Alfero's Graphic Art

Ben was a prolific artist and left behind many drawings on the margins of his notebooks. Okumbo products feature Ben's art and are designed in his typical style. Okumbo was the mysterious silly word Ben and his cousin would always grunt to each other.

Memorable Cartoons and Characters

Okumbo products carry Ben's spirit beyond the short time he had in this life. They give those who knew him something to remember him by. Those who didn't know him will find his unique and quirky cartoons an instant way to stand out in the sea of mainstream brand names and uniform designs. The designs have been selected by his co-students at Nelson Mandela International School and finalized by graphic artists Ruby (Ben's sister) and Manon of stockdale.berlin arts collective.
